Do I need previous art experience?

No.  The sessions are designed for all abilities and we welcome all levels to the classes including beginners.

Do I have to bring my own art materials?

No.  Basic drawing and painting materials will be provided, but you are very welcome to bring your own equipment if you want to.

Can I take my work home with me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely.  You can take all your creations home with you after each session.

Question 4

Do I have to sign up every month or can I pick and choose themes and attend when I want to?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not have to sign up every month, the sessions are stand alone themes, and attendees can select how often they wish to come to SHED.  For some attendees that will be monthly, for others they may prefer to pick the theme or artist that is being featured.

How long is each session/class?

SHED Art Club's duration each session is 2 hours.

Can under 18s attend?

SHED is  aimed at adults, but 14-18 year olds can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Is there accessible toilet facilities?

Yes, there is one accessible all gender toilet.

Will there be wheelchair/wheelchair entrance accessibility?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.  The evening entrance SHED uses at the Bradbury Makers’ Shed has level access at the gate and building entrances, and is suitable for wheelchair users.

Can I bring an assistance dog/animal?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Assistance dogs and service animals are very welcome, and will have access to water and the gardens for a comfort break.

Is there nearby parking and blue badge parking?

Yes. Hillsborough Park has two pay-and-display car parks, one inside the park via Parkside Road, and the other on Middlewood Road by the Hillsborough Arena; the arena car park remains open late. The closest car park with free parking for blue badge holders is Parkside Road car park.

Is there public transport to Bradbury Makers Shed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hillsborough Park has numerous transport links including trams and buses. For trams, use the Yellow route to Middlewood and get off at the Hillsborough Park or Leppings Lane stops. Buses include numbers: 81, 82, 18 & 18a (details available on www.travelsouthyorkshire.com)
