Come join Shed Life to celebrate their unique, accessible and versatile shed - a new community space designed for meeting, sharing and enjoying together!

In 2019, Shed Life had an ambition to create a custom-designed shed - a welcoming space for residents to meet friends, connect with new people, and find companionship. It’s a place to talk, share skills, and exchange ideas whenever support is needed.

Thanks to the incredible support of University of East London, who co-designed the shed, and Bellway Holmes Limited, Barking Project Team, who generously constructed the unique building, the Shed is now complete!

‘Shed’ doesn't quite do it justice - it’s a modern cabin with panoramic views of the community garden, offering a a tranquil and versatile space where residents can make friends, learn new skills, take up a hobby or training, and simply be themselves.

Join the celebration at this lively and fun event featuring music, dancing, karaoke, arts and crafts—and sow your own pot of microgreens to grow on your windowsill!

The event will be held in the shed and garden of the Thames Community Hub, with covered outdoor areas and seating, as well as a comfortable space inside the library.

The Shed Life market stall will display their handmade goods and handicrafts.
