Event description

Description

This course involves making a knitted throw with a completed size of 48” by 72” (115cm x 175cm). There are fifteen central blocks, surrounded by a border.

Cost and attendance:

All materials will be provided for each block on an ongoing basis. We will be using Woolyknit Diggle and British Naturals. You will need to provide 5.5mm knitting needle.

An initial deposit of £25.00 is required to register on the course.

There are then five further payments of £20.00. Instructions for each set of blocks will be given upon payment, and materials for those blocks will be issued.

Making sessions will be scheduled once a month. The first of these sessions will take place on Tuesday 21st November from 10.00 – 12.00. The date of the next making session will be agreed at that time with those present. If you are not able to attend that session, but still want to join in the knit-along, you are welcome to attend one of our other social making sessions. These are on Wednesdays from 10.00 – 12.00 and from 1.00 – 3.00 and on Fridays from 10.30 – 12.30 and from 1.00 – 3.00. Making sessions will be charged at our standard knit and natter rate of £4.00 per session to cover the cost of refreshments.

The first block will be issued at the making session on 21st November. Subsequent blocks will be issued every two months. For attendees who do not wish to attend the making sessions or who join the knit-along at a later date, new blocks will only be provided once the making session for that block has taken place.
