Description
Sheffield China Business Seminars 2017 - 2018
Seminar Four
Innovation & Intellectual Property Rights in China
One of the biggest concerns from British businesses trading with China is the protection of their intellectual property rights. Some argue that it is inevitable to be copied if you are successful in the Chinese market, whilst others go through extreme to protect their IP by avoiding the market altogether. In this seminar, we invited experts in the fields to discuss with ins and outs of IP protection in China.
Dr. John-Paul Rooney, Partner at Withers & Rogers will discuss how business can protect their intellectual property rights before entering into the Chinese market. Dr. Nick Rousseau from Unconventional Connections will talk about how to manage innovation projects with Chinese partners and John Lester, Managing Director of CISDI (part of The Metallurgical Corporation of China) will talk to us about R&D Activities in Chinese Companies.
