Sheffield: Coaching Skills for Managers Workshop
Wed 22 March 2017, 10:00 – 13:00 GMT
THIS SESSION IS BOOKING FAST
The aim of the session is for effective managers to understand the value of coaching as a way of motivating and empowering the people around them. Done properly, coaching is about pulling someone towards a desired outcome, rather than pushing them. During this 3 hour workshop, various coaching scenarios will be played out and you’ll learn to differentiate between when it’s appropriate to coach ‘on the go’ and when this should take place behind closed doors.
After completing this topic, you will be able to:
- conduct meaningful and effective coaching conversations;
- spot appropriate opportunities for coaching; and
- create a safe, supportive and blame-free environment.
Please only sign up if you are sure you will be able to attend for the duration of the event and cancel immediately if you cannot attend since there are only 16 places and we want to make sure they are all full.
THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO THE DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION,
