Norwich Skeptics In The Pub, in association with Norfolk Humanists, are proud to present Shelley Segal, the atheist singer-songwriter from Australia.
Over the past five years Shelley has played throughout Europe and America, building a formidable fanbase as a truly independent artist. As a singer/song-writer/storyteller, she moves comfortably between genres of folk, jazz, blues, reggae and pop.
In 2011 she released an album of songs inspired by her atheism. She performed to 30,000 at the Reason Rally in the US. Shelley will be performing tracks from both this acclaimed 'An Atheist Album' including the single 'Saved', 'An apocalyptic love song (for Hitchens) and 'I don't believe in fairies'. Shelley will also play some tracks from her latest release, An Easy Escape.
There will also be a Q&A session where Shelley will discuss her secular-humanist beliefs and how they have informed her music.

When & Where
Norwich Skeptics in the Pub
At Skeptics in the Pub we promote critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning in an informal setting - less technically, we are a thinking and drinking group.
The Skeptics movement started with the aim to teach the scientific consensus on a range of issues and try to prevent misunderstanding and abuse by pseudoscience and other interested parties.
We're not just limited to science; we try to look at any subject - the humanities, philosophy, politics etc, and see where rational inquiry leads us, over what authority figures, common sense or received wisdom would tell us.
Join us if you agree, disagree or just fancy a drink and entertaining conversation.
We currently meet once a month, on the second Tuesday of the month at:
The Cellar House
2 Eaton Road
