Rise, like lions after slumber’ to experience the stirring life and poetry of another great radical Romantic poet on the 200th anniversary of the writing of The Mask of Anarchy following the Peterloo Massacre. We will visit fascinating landmarks in the lives of Percy Bysshe Shelley and Mary Shelley - from their first meeting to their notorious elopement and exile in Europe, where they created such ground-breaking masterpieces as Frankenstein and The Mask of Anarchy. This walk includes poetry and prose readings.
