Event description

Description

Sherborne Literary Festival 2017 promises a diverse mix of speakers and events. There is history from Giles Milton, farming from Rosamund Young, poetry from Roger McGough and the classics brought to life by Natalie Haynes. Following on from his fascinating performance of last year we have Joshua Levine, author and historical advisor on the major Hollywood film Dunkirk; Jonathan Aitken will speak on the very current topic of our penal system and to add contrast Gulwali Passarlay, who, aged 11, set off from his native Afghanistan overland arriving a year later here in the UK where he has since completed his studies and is highly recommended as a brilliant speaker.

This year for those who really want to get the most from this five day festival we have a season ticket which offers a huge discount and gives access to each and every event - all 14 of them (except Simon Weston). This is available to members only. If you are not a member and wish to take advantage of this huge saving of over £60 then please sign up (£10 fee) on the society website https://www.sherborneliterarysociety.com/membership.
