Practical work party preparing ground and scattering seeds. *Please use What3Words find us, not the on page map*
We will be spreading wetland seeds and tidying up the area to improve access and help wildlife. The meeting point is at 10:30am on Northbrook road, near the kissing gate onto the wedge - what3words.com/pasta.tried.secret or https://maps.app.goo.gl/mLQx7gKiBA5SEdJX6
On street parking is available along North brook road.
As usual, dress for the weather, we will be amounsgt nettles, probably in the sun, so a hat, long sleaves & trousers advised. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Work gloves provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Bring Wellies if you have them - if you would like to borrow a pair get in touch and we can arrange for that.
Please note that most of the work is physical and off paved paths. We make every effort to accommodate a variety of individual needs so that everyone can participate, but please let us know by emailing in advance so that we can help you to join in.
This event is organised and lead by Joe Atkinson (River Restoration Officer) Joe.Atkinson@wkwt.org.uk.
If you're new to our events and would like to see who we are before the event so that you know who to look out for, see our photos and find out more about the Sherbourne Valley Project team here: https://www.sherbournevalley.co.uk/meet-the-team
Note:
Please be aware that there may be photography or videography at this event. If you have any issues with this, please make a team member and any individuals with a camera aware. It is worth noting however, that almost all of our events are in public spaces and we cannot control members of the public who may want to take photos.
This project is lead by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with Coventry City Council, Severn Trent, the Environment Agency, Citizen Housing, Historic Coventry Trust, Coventry University and Sherbourne Valley Churches. It as has been generously supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and it’s thanks to National Lottery players that we are able to host this event.
