About this Event
A young engineer visits Holmes, seeking his aid after he has escaped from a group of men who originally hired him to mend a mysterious machine of theirs. Losing his thumb in the fight, as he fled, the engineer tells the detective and Dr Watson of the events and they return to discover the real intent behind these investors.
