Follow in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson as they track down a murderer in ‘The Adventure of the Empty House’
“Holmes’s knowledge of the byways of London was extraordinary, and on this occasion he passed rapidly and with an assured step through a network of mews and stables, the very existence of which I had never known,” says Watson as they set off.
This walk will try to recreate their route through the mews and backstreets of Marylebone. Along the way, we’ll be trying to solve two mysteries: who murdered the Honourable Ronald Adair and where exactly was 221b Baker Street?
The walk will last about 2 hours and starts on the corner of Cavendish Square, just behind John Lewis (nearest tube Oxford Circus) and finishes at Baker St. Please check travel arrangements on the day at Transport for London's Journey Planner site.
