Event description

Description

And we're back one again like the renegade master!

This quarter we're tackling bias: What it means, how to be conscious of it and how to prevent it from clouding out judgement.

Want to join us for the event? Well here's the lineup of wonderful speakers:

Amy Lynch - Head of Diversity and Inclusion, ThoughtWorks

Amy has been working with technology teams for over a decade and currently heads up diversity & inclusion (D&I) for ThoughtWorks, a global software consultancy. A curious and adaptable leader, Amy advocates passionately for social justice and remains committed to amplifying those who often go unheard and underserved. She is part of BIMA’s D&I council, has been included on Northern Power Women's 2019 Future List and champions a more equitable future for all.

Natalie Jameson - MUM | Social Business Architect | Tech4Good Mentor & Innovator | Speaker | Author.

Natalie believes there is magic at the intersection of women’s empowerment, design thinking, and technology in Enterprise. Her central question is, what if everyone thought like a social business architect? Would we approach our world, work, and life with a legacy mindset and enable the connectedness of people, purpose and the planet for sustainable societal and industrial development.

She’s steered a multidisciplinary portfolio career and education through two children, four industries including Acquisitions Finance, Sustainable Interior Architecture, Start-Up Healthcare and Digital Technologies, and 5 countries (often as the only women). Heroworx was born after seeing the tech shaping our world as Head of Food and Beverage Finance in a digital transformation team at Siemens Plc. Seeing how unrepresented women and minority groups were, the louder the call for action got.

Rosie Turner - CEO and Co-Founder, InChorus Group

Rosie is Co-CEO and Co-Founder at InChorus Group, a third-party platform tackling bias & harassment by letting companies tag, measure and address microaggressions. Prior to that, Rosie has worked in Corporate Innovation, assisting large companies to create or onboard new technologies, before moving into Social Innovation programmes with Impact Hub and a charity accelerator. This led to Rosie becoming a Partner at 'FriendlyFires', a consultancy focused on exploring how technology could address issues that present both a business and social problem, where she focused on Diversity & Inclusion.

Christina Connelly - Head of UX & Design at DigitalBridge

Ive been working in the design and user experience field for over a decade, previous design leadership roles working with Hilton Worldwide and the BBC. Working with users and human centred design is the main passion of my role. Our users and the experiences they have are the heart of everything we do, and without them we can't build or design the products we have today. Its my job to advocate passionately for them to make sure we deliver the best user experience for them.

This month's SheSaysMCR is kindly sponsored by Digital Bridge. DigitalBridge is the Guided Design platform that helps kitchen and bathroom retailers streamline their customers’ renovation process.
