Shibari is a form of bondage that originated in Japan (sometimes also called Kinbaku or Japanese bondage). The word “shibari” literally translates as “to tie” and refers to intricate and beautiful knots and patterns used to restrain and feel/give bodily sensations.

This workshop is designed for novices with little or no prior experience with shibari. It will be a robust and comprehensive study of the fundamentals, with a focus on the relevant regulations for tying and safety when practicing this craft. During this workshops we will go over the fundamental philosophy and safety procedures of shibari and offer practical instruction in the most crucial tying and being tied techniques.

The goal of this workshops is to lead you on a path of individual and group development by utilising your body and your senses as instruments for inquiry and self-learning. This session is intended to give you the basic skills necessary to begin your own Shibari journey and communicate deep emotions with both yourself (and/or your partner), regardless of your level of experience.

About the facilitator, Skinny Red Head...
Kasia Zawadzka, known better as Skinny-Red-Head or Skinny-Art is one of the pioneers of World self-suspension Shibari performance with her unique dynamic style. Kasia was first introduced to ropes in 2011, as a model. In 2012 she started tying, attending workshops and eventually experimenting with self-suspension...

Today Kasia has performed self-suspension shows throughout the world including Japan, UK, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, France, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, Seychelles and more. Kasia’s shows are provocative, empowering and always performed with clear and dynamic story.

By buying a ticket you confirm that you are female. Skirt Club reserves the right to refuse a ticket holder who does now fit this description.

Please wear comfortable clothes that enable you to move freely and won't get caught by rope. We suggest something close to your skin such as leggings for bottom part of your body, or shorts so you can tie directly on your skin, and maybe tighter tops/t-shirt for upper body.

Please note: shoes are not allowed to be worn inside the studio.
