Ready to explore a future in tech?
Shift Click is MadLab’s free “not a bootcamp” web development programme for anyone aged 18–30, unemployed or underemployed, and living in Greater Manchester.
Over 4 weeks, you’ll go from zero experience to building an interactive website — while developing real tech and workplace skills in a supportive, friendly environment.
Shift Click isn’t a high-pressure sausage factory. We offer holistic support that works for people with part-time jobs, caring responsibilities, or those returning to learning.
What you’ll learn
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- How to build an interactive website from scratch
- Debugging, problem-solving, and teamwork
- How real developers work day-to-day
- Professional communication & collaboration skills

Who is this for?
You should be:
✔️ Aged 18–30
✔️ Living in Greater Manchester
✔️ Unemployed or underemployed (e.g., part-time, insecure work)
✔️ Curious about tech — no experience required

Starts: 26 November - 18 December 2025
Format: In-person every Wednesday and Thursday, plus approximately 6 hours of self-study at your own pace
