Overview

Join our panel of Development in Practice contributors to discuss their perspectives on shifting the power in practice

In late 2025, the journal Development in Practice published a Special Issue (volume 35, issue 8) on the topic of shifting the power. INTRAC, which held the editorship of DiP from 2010 to 2020, was involved with the guest editorship of this issue. Guest editors included our Chief Executive Kate Newman, our board member Charles Kojo Vandyck, and our former board member Suzanne Hammad. The other guest editors were Logan Cochrane (Professor at Hamad bin Khalifa University, Qatar) and Naila Farouky (CEO of the Arab Foundations Forum).

On 25 February, Kate Newman will chair this free event. Kate will be joined by a panel of civil society thinkers and practitioners each of whom contributed to one of the articles in the Special Issue. Every article from the issue is freely available to access via the INTRAC resource library.
