Event description

Description

The nation is coming together to 'get talking', to break the silence around mental health and to change lives through conversation. At the CIPD it is our mission to promote better work and working lives… and this starts with us, by looking after the complete person. As HR practitioners we have an important role to support this process and reduce the stigma around mental health in the workplace.

Mental health problems affect one in four of us yet people are still afraid to talk about it. For people with mental health problems not being able to open up can be one of the worst parts of the illness. So by getting people talking about mental health we can break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects so many of us.

Join us for an insightful and practical evening. Speakers and facilitators will include counsellors, specialist thought leaders and importantly real people who have experienced mental ill health, who will share their story in their own words.

Speakers include:

Sile McRaghnaill - Mental Health & Wellbeing Manager at Liverpool John Moores University

Individuals who have experienced mental health challenges within the workplace.
