About
BFT Shopkeepers and Bakeries - how’s it going? This is an opportunity to connect with other likeminded food retailers across the UK, reflect on your summer sales and look at what's in store for the season ahead.
Who’s this for?
Whether you stock a few shelves of products alongside your bakery or run a large grocery with multiple sites, if you are involved in running a shop and are a Better Food Trader member, this is the peer meet-up for you.
What will we do together?
In this hour-long meeting, you will have space to step back from the day to day to reflect on your work, request advice and support from other BFT shopkeepers, and share your learning/expertise with a group of likeminded shopkeepers.
We’ll do 3 things together:
- Individually reflect on the successes/challenges of the past 3 months and anticipate for the 3 months ahead
- Respond, feedback and support each other
- Collectively make sense of some of the trends you are experiencing and noticing in your work as shopkeepers and bakers.
Who will facilitate the space?
Melissa Ray & Julia Kirby Smith - Better Food Traders
Why should I attend?
Time is short. Finances are tight. You’ve got a lot on your plate. But you’re not alone! Give yourself an hour to reflect, celebrate and gain solidarity from people in the BFT network who have similar goals and experiences to you.
Agenda
- Individual Reflection | What’s working well? What feels hard? What are you celebrating? What are you keeping an eye on?
- Peer support | Listen to each other and offer feedback, support and advice
- Collective sensemaking| What patterns and trends are we noticing across all of our work? What do we need to do to act on them?
