Whether you've been working in digital for years, are brand new to the area, or are interested in finding out about a new career – we'd love to welcome you to the Brighton Digital Women community.
Our community is about helping women progress their digital careers and take on more leadership roles. This is something everybody can be a part of.
With that in mind, we've lined up three awesome short talks for October 5th. And there'll be plenty of time (at Plenty) to chat about your latest challenges and successes over a few glasses of your favourite tipple.
The talks part:
There's a world offline – Pippa Moyle
Pippa is the founding editor of Brighton Girl, a magazine and a community for twenty-something women living in Brighton. Over the last six months, the community has grown to nearly 300 members and she works with a talented team of over 30 women to put together content and events. At this event, she'll be sharing the biggest lesson that's helped to shape Brighton Girl into the fast-growing network that it is today.
5 top tips for social media engagement – Allegra Chapman
Allegra is the Natural Engagement Manager at Cobb Digital, and has nearly a decade of experience in building and nurturing active online communities. Allegra will share five key secrets to creating and utilising engaged networks through social channels, but without breaking your budget.
TBA – Stu McCamley and Phil Hodgson, Founders of ITrex
The casual networking part:
We don't usually use that word 'networking' because it sounds a bit freaky. But networking is kind of what we always do at BDW anyway. These meetups are a chance to meet industry chums and likeminded souls in a welcoming environment.
To make the casual networking part even better, the fabulous folks at Plenty are sorting another delicious array of refreshments for purchase. So come along thirsty and hungry ;)
Even more info:
Everyone is welcome.
The venue is accessible for wheelchair users.
There will be alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks available.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about the event, venue or anything else we've missed.
