Do you have a brilliant idea for a short film? Would you like training, mentorship, funding and a professional crew to help you make it? How about seeing it showcased via Sky Arts?
SHORTFLIX is aimed at aspiring new filmmakers aged 18-25 who are not currently in full-time education, employment or training. We’re looking for ideas from creative, talented and ambitious young people that have the potential to make great short films for showcase via a national broadcaster. No previous professional experience or study of film production is required and participation is free. Selected filmmakers will receive training and support at every stage from industry professionals. If you have a passion for film and a great idea, we want to hear from you.
SHORTFLIX is holding a series of free roadshow events in January & February 2017 (Manchester 25th Jan, Nottingham 31st Jan, London 6th Feb & Bristol 16th Feb) where you can find out how to apply, learn how to pitch your short film idea, and get inspired by some great short films.
