Event description
Join us for the launch of a project on the themes of culture and identity, hosted by British Future and Labour Together at Labour Fringe.

About this event

Clashes on culture, identity and race can seem to dominate public debate. Social media can often make our society feel more divided than united. Join us for the launch of a project on the themes of culture and identity hosted by British Future and Labour Together.

Chaired by Shabana Mahmood MP, this event aims to examine how the Labour Party can start to navigate ‘culture war’ debates, as well as wider conversations on identity, race and the media.

Date & time: 11.00 am Monday 27th September | Food and Drink will be served.

Location: Gresham Room, The Old Ship Hotel, Kings Rd, Brighton (outside the conference zone)

Speakers include:

  • Shabana Mahmood MP, Labour Party National Campaign Coordinator (Chair)
  • Kim Leadbeater MP
  • Nick Lowles, Chief Executive, HOPE Not Hate
  • Kirsty McNeill, CounterCulture; The Fabian Society
  • Sunder Katwala, Director of British Future

Signing up does not guarantee entry to the event but you will hear more about this project, admittance on the day is on a first come first served basis.
