SHOUT! — Q&A with acclaimed author Philip Norman, in celebration of the Folio Society’s new edition of his landmark Beatles biography, featuring photography by Terry O’Neill.
First published in 1981, Shout!: The True Story of the Beatles remains one of the greatest music biographies ever written. Norman meticulously pieced together the story of the Fab Four to create an epic narrative that follows the Beatles from their scrappy Liverpool beginnings through the heights of Beatlemania, the chaos of Apple Corps, and the dissolution of the band, culminating in the group’s enduring legacy and the tragedies of John Lennon and George Harrison. To celebrate the Folio Society’s beautiful and definitive new edition of the book – released 21 October – Philip Norman will be sitting for a Q&A at the Iconic Images Gallery Piccadilly, where a selection of photographs of the Beatles by Terry O’Neill will be on display, including rarely-seen images and vintage press prints from the band’s very early days.
