This day is for all the brilliant creative people out there who struggle with self-promotion, be that through shyness, introversion or a mistrust of marketing.
This workshop with Creative Business Coach, Pete Mosley, is based on his book The Art of Shouting Quietly – a guide to self-promotion for introverts and other quiet souls. Pete’s work is built on 30 years of face-to-face coaching, training and problem-solving sessions with a wide range of successful people. He's observed what works – and what doesn’t – and distilled it into sensible, realistic advice.
“I learnt more about the practical, important aspects of running a craft business from Pete in one day, than I did during my whole BA and MA university experience!” Crafts Council Hothouse participant 2016
With Pete’s guidance you will:
Engage with the blocks that hold you back from promoting yourself confidently – and figure out the steps you can take to overcome them.
Establish your own brand of confidence – actions that will work for you.
Help you figure out where you can 'shine' in self-promotion - and how to cut down the amount of time you are spending online.
Challenge your pre-conceptions of what you can and can’t do in terms of promoting yourself.
Explore ‘ninja tactics’ for dealing with areas of self-promotion where you may feel less confident.
Establish the right tools for self-promotion – ones you can feel truly comfortable with.
Create a plan of action to raise your profile effectively.
You will go away more confident with a personal strategy for self-promotion, lots of new ideas and things to try.
This workshop is for a maximum of 8 people and takes place in Gabriela Szulman’s welcoming art studio where you’ll be well looked after with refreshments, two-course lunch and cake.
Also included are:
All the course materials on a CD
An Ebook copy of ‘Make Your Creativity Pay’ or 'The Art of Shouting Quietly' by Pete Mosley.
“Pete Mosley was excellent. Explained everything really well, was patient and gave good advice. Some inspirational advice that got to the bottom of why we're in business. Phrases like 'Be Yourself, not what others want you to be' and 'Embrace your non-conformity' really rung true.” Crafts Council Hothouse participant 2016
