This is the second in our ODI Futures series, which brings together academics, innovators and businesses to share current research and development.

In an era of rapid urbanisation we are witnessing increasing demand for additional housing, infrastructure, transport and green spaces to name but a few. We are asking, how open data can help tackle these challenges and how it is already being used by innovative businesses.

The Open Data Institute and Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute invites you to join in the discussion at, ‘Show me the future of… the built environment and open data’ on Monday 19th May at 2pm.

Prof. Derek McAuley and Prof. Darren Robinson from the University of Nottingham and Prof. Richard Bellingham from the University of Strathclyde Business School will outline their current research and share their views on what the next ten years may hold in this field. We will also hear from businesses discussing current and future open data innovation and the effect it could have on this sector.

This event is free to attend.
