The landscape of funding in the sector is changing. It is becoming ever more important to demonstrate impact of work to current and potential donors. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning concepts and tools can help you achieve this.
Join us and Sue Coe, MEL consultant specialist and facilitator with 35 years of experience in the international development sector for this session. Sue has extensive experience of fundraising, programme design and management and has previously delivered on Bond’s MEL programme. She will outline some core MEL concepts and approaches to help your organisation be more “impact-centred” in your MEL and help you explore a “donor-friendly” mindset in communicating the impact of what you do.
This session will include:
- Presentation of some key MEL concepts that define what “impact” is
- Consideration of different tools and approaches to collect data to demonstrate impact of work
- Small group work with other SIDA members (supported by Sue) to explore ideas from the presentation in relation to your organisation’s current situation, and exchange ideas on strengthening your current practice to be more “impact-centred”
Format: 1.5 hr workshop with breakout and Q&A
Who is this for: Anyone working in an MEL/impact capacity within their organisation
