ARRIVAL FROM 9:15 am FOR 9:30 am START Presentations finish about 11.30am depending on questions and there will be half an hour for informal networking afterwards.
A round table event for SEN members who've been running their own businesses for a few years to showcase what they do: target market, how the business has developed over time, its business model and USPs, online presence, lessons learned and working collaboratively.
An opportunity to let the Self Employed Network know what it is that you do. And to hear what other people do too and benefit from their experiences.
If you're interested in featuring your own business in this event, please contact Avril Porter on firstname.lastname@example.org who is co-ordinating the event. As well as learning & development and HR, we'd like to include presentations by career interims and specialist businesses such as reward and expat management. We have a limited number of presentation slots and they will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Listeners are very welcome too. If you're new to running your own business or currently employed but considering making the switch into self-employment, this will be a great event for you to learn from other people's experiences and network with entrepreneurs.
Continuous Professional Development
This event is a structured networking activity to connect with other self-employed professionals, providing commercial insight into a variety of business models for addressing people issues. It encourages collaborative working, gives access to entrepreneurial role models, and opportunity to develop communication/influencing styles.
The event counts as a Continuous Professional Development activity for CIPD members and Certificates of Attendance are available at the end for your CPD records.
Speakers will be a range of SEN members who've been running their own businesses for a few years.
