One of the skills that has made Showstopper The Improvised Musical an Olivier-winning West End hit is the ability to pastiche musicals and composers on demand. Following on from our previous workshops, this one will take a whole day to explore this technique in more depth. Taught by Duncan Walsh Atkins, our musical Director, and Andrew Pugsley, one of our leading players, you will learn how to improvise in the style of a range of classic musical theatre composers, from Gilbert & Sullivan through the Golden Age of Broadway to Lloyd Webber and Sondheim. Some previous musical improv or musical theatre experience is recommended for this workshop, and some preliminary listening will be required. 15 places only.
