On Monday 24th April, members of the Shrewsbury School Chapel Choir will have the pleasure of singing Choral Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral. Our pupils will have the honour of performing specially selected choral works in this magnificent venue.

The service begins at 5:00pm and supporters and friends of Shrewsbury School are warmly invited to attend, arriving from 4:30pm onwards.

Following the service, Shrewsbury School will be hosting a Reception at Dion, London, situated next to St Paul’s (65 St Paul’s Churchyard, City Of London, EC4M 8AB). Guests are invited to join us from 6:00pm for a selection of drinks and canapés, with the evening coming to a close at 7:15pm.

St Paul’s Cathedral are delighted to be welcoming supporters and friends of Shrewsbury School Chapel Choir who will be singing Choral Evensong on Monday 24 April 2023.

The service begins at 5 pm. Please aim to arrive from 4.30 pm onwards. On arrival at St Paul’s, please enter via the main West End steps and have all bags ready for inspection by our security team. An alternative entrance for those who require special access is via the North Transept (on the North side) of the Cathedral, via the ramp there.

If you wish to be seated in the Quire, you will be directed by the Virgers from 4.45 pm. All seating in Quire is unreserved and we will accommodate as many supporters as we are able to. Once the Quire is full, and no later than 4.55 pm, the gates are closed and no access is permitted for further congregation. Plenty of seating for congregation is under the Dome. All seating in the Cathedral is unreserved.

Photography is not allowed during the service, and filming inside the Cathedral is prohibited at all times. As you prepare for worship, please be sensitive to the needs of those around you who may wish to pray quietly. Please switch off mobile phones.

At the end of the service, once the Organ Voluntary has ended, all congregation should exit as promptly as possible from the Cathedral via the entrance you came in from (either the West End or North Transept).
