Shut Up and Write! - at Kensington Central Library
Overview
Join "Shut Up and Write!" - a global community dedicated to helping writers beat procrastination, silence their inner critic and make steady progress on their projects.
Starting in September, join us for focused weekly writing sessions at Kensington Central Library.
All writers are welcome, no matter your experience or what you’re working on - whether it’s a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, poem or just everyday work stuff.
Write alongside fellow creatives in a supportive, distraction-free environment.
This is not a critique or workshop - there’s no need to share your work, and no unsolicited feedback will be given.
The focus is simple: meet once per week, get your writing done and meet other writers.
Schedule:
- 6:00–6:15 – Introduction and goal setting
- 6:15–7:15 – Writing session
- 7:15–7:30 – Chat & end
Don’t worry if you’re late or need to leave early - just settle in and check in with the host whenever you can.
* Bring earbuds or earplugs if you want to block out background noise or conversations. Also, make sure your laptop is charged, as there won’t be plug sockets nearby. lternatively, feel free to bring a notebook and pen.
