Shwapping Not Shopping - Clothes Swap Event at The Hub

Did you know that (wrap.org.uk) there is an estimated £30 Billion worth of unworn clothes hidden in UK wardrobes and that an estimated £140 Billion worth of clothes go to Landfill each year?

Do you have pieces that you no longer love, that might enjoy a new life with someone else then join us for the ultimate sustainable fashion experience at Swapping Not Shopping - Clothes Swap Event at The Hub on Sun 22nd June at 11:30am . This event is the perfect opportunity to refresh your wardrobe without breaking the bank or harming the planet and give those unloved pieces a new lease of life.

Tickets are £5 (plus Eventbrite fee) per person which entitles you to swap 5 items. You are welcome to bring more than 5 items to the event (maximum 10) but swaps are strictly limited to 5, anything you bring in excess of 5 items is considered a donation to Greener & Cleaner.

Additional items can be purchased at the Event at £2 per item after the first hour when everyone has had a good chance to look

Bring your gently used Ladies and Kids clothes and accessories to swap with other fashion enthusiasts. (Everything you bring should be in good condition with no damage). You can bring 5-10 items of Clothing, shoes or accessories which can be dropped at The Hub in advance during opening hrs from Thurs 19th June. Please do not leave bags outside the Hub when we are closed, they will be removed and possibly destroyed by Security.

Arrive at the Hub between 11:30am-12:30pm on Sunday where you'll find unique pieces and styles that are perfect for you while reducing your carbon footprint. Due to the capacity of the Hub and depending how busy it is we may need to implement a queuing system on the day. The event is open to everyone, so share with your friends and family for a fun-filled session of fashion and sustainability.

Tickets are non-refundable as this is a fundraising event to support the work that Greener and Cleaner does in the community. Any stock left over after the event will be distributed to local deserving causes.

To help us plan the event and manage stock well, there is a question re sizes on completion of your order.

We regularly take photographs at our events to support us explaining what we do, and keep our funders informed. If for any reason you would prefer not to have your image included, please discuss this on arrival with the event leader

The Hub is located upstairs in The Glades next to HMV and Waterstones.
