The new SIAMS framework, that will come into effect from 2018 with the first inspections occurring in September of that year, is a radical departure from the current framework. It seeks to ask:
-
what is your schools' vision and how is that rooted in Christian Distinctiveness
-
what provision do you offer to ensure you live out that vision?
-
what is the impact of that provision?
So as not to disadvantage schools to be inspected by SIAMS in the academic year 2018-19 (and those other schools who want to be ahead in their preparation), we offer this preliminary course - which aims to help schools work out how to reframe their vision ready for the new framework.
The course is aimed at: headteachers, SLT members, the Chair of Governors, Foundation Governors and parish partners.
Outcomes:
-
a deeper understanding of the CofE vision for all schools
-
a clear plan to ensure that the school can revisit their vision in response to the CofE "Deeply Christian, Serving the Common Good" document
-
an idea of how this might affect the schools provision and how to monitor the impact of that
