This course will introduce you to a world of sickle cell behind closed doors that will help you understand the unspoken words that living with sickle cell brings to many.

We will cover the basics knowledge of sickle cell anaemia, and look at how it is inherited, its complications and it’s impact on the lives of children, young people and their families.

It will also look at the Sickle – Stroke connection and how vigilance in schools or in any educational or workplace setting can help to prevent further disability.

At the end of the course delegates will have adequate information and ability to understand sickle cell and the need to be vigilant and responsive in their students or colleagues needs.
