Practical Techniques for Increasing Resilience in the Workplace

Resilience has long been a much sought-after quality in leaders and now the mental health agenda has brought it into mainstream focus. Faced with an ever-increasing pace of life and overload of information, how can we maintain positive and healthy habits that will help us handle the pressure?

This session will be facilitated by Julia Philpott, who has a background in corporate leadership development and is qualified in both leadership coaching and psychology. Julia will lead discussion on what defines resilience and share research from the fields of psychology, neuroscience and leadership development to stimulate your thinking around resilience in the workplace.

You will be introduced to a number of techniques to help you identify and manage your emotional responses to threat (emotional resilience); and identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more positive ones (mental resilience). Thus whether you are a leader, HR practitioner, or coach, you will take away practical techniques to assist you in your work.
