Workshops

Participate in a workshop to explore different innovative ways that we do research and teach our BSL interpreting students. 5 different workshops will be on offer

We will offer a free catered vegetarian buffet with vegan and gluten and lactose free options

Talk to different HWU researchers about their current research

Signs of provocation

5 HWU researchers will perform and present provocative questions related to their research and encourage audience engagment!

The day will provide an opportunity for Heriot-Watt current and former staff, students, alumni, and community members to come together to celebrate 30 years of British Sign Language (BSL) activities at HWU! It will be a fun day of workshops, presentations and performances. The whole day will be presented in BSL with spoken English interpretation. Free lunch will be provided, and in the evening we will move to Deaf Action in the city of Edinburgh for social activities (separate registration for this to follow).
