Sikhs in Politics: How can it work?
Event Information
Description
In a continuation of our open forum discussion events, the Sikh Press Association will be hosting an evening looking to answer the question, 'Sikhs in Politics: How can it work?'.
This discussion will be based around how or if Sikhs involved in UK politics can work for the betterment of the community at large, and what this may involve from both sides.
The panel will include:
- Inderjeet Singh, a political consultant with years of experience in the civil service
- Sukhvinder Kaur, from the Labour Party and Sikh Relief
- Lord Singh, a crossbencher in the House of Lords and Director of the Network of Sikh Organisations
- Dabinderjit Singh, adviser to the Sikh Federation UK and a Director at the National Audit Office
- Harsimrat Kaur, from Sikh Tories
Please note, this event will NOT be based on individual party preferences and will NOT focus on if any particular party works better for the UK community. It will only focus on how the system works and how Sikhs can work within it.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK TICKETS UNLESS YOU ARE DEFINITELY LOOKING TO ATTEND! SPACES ARE LIMITED!
