UNDERSTANDING THE INNER CRITIC

The inner critic is a deeply embedded voice that holds many clients back. It undermines confidence, fuels perfectionism and self-doubt and stops growth in its tracks. For counsellors and coaches, helping clients untangle this voice can be challenging, especially when it is rooted in formative experiences and reinforced by external pressures. Without structured tools, even experienced practitioners can find it difficult to guide clients through the internal barriers this voice creates.

Drawing on frameworks including CBT, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, the session offers clear guidance on how to disrupt negative thought patterns and build pathways to self-compassion.
