Humans: the Missing Ingredient in Modern AI Systems

A Voices from the Valley Masterclass with Oxford Angel Fund Investor & Alumnus Cameron Turner

In this masterclass, Oxford Angel Fund’s co-manager and entrepreneur Cameron Turner (SBS’05) will share his experiences in building/deploying AI systems for global organizations like Microsoft, Starbucks and the Gates Foundation. Also drawing on investment experience into Oxford-founded companies, we’ll explore the role of human creativity and how human + machines generate better performing and more ethically balanced systems. Together, we’ll also discuss whether AI can be “creative” and the nature of innovation in an AI + people universe.
