Overview

The US Army Air Forces in WW2 Norfolk - telling their stories

Join us for Silver Wings Stories - Making an Exhibition

The first in a new online series exploring the US Army Air Forces in WW2 Norfolk. Based on the stories and narratives uncovered in the 2025 Silver Wings project and exhibition hosted by American Library and the Forum.

In this session we will dive into exhibition making and explore how we crafted an amazing and meaningful experience for visitors. Whether you're curious about storytelling, curation, or just love history, this is for you. We're really hoping you can join us if you are an 8th Air Force family member who couldn't make it to see us in England.

Please note that event times will be displayed in your home time zone. This event is at 18:00 London time which is 13:00 in New York.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this series. Over the next few months we will be bringing you other stories form Silver Wings - life on an airbase, women in the war, the 231st station hospital, and more. We hope you can join us.
