SilverWood Book Writing Club: Plan Your Book
Event Information
About this Event
Have you got an idea for a book? Or are you getting stuck halfway through writing one? Even if you’ve made a start or have already written several books, sometimes you need to go back to basics and re-visit your plan to get it finished. This month, we will be talking to author and book writing coach, Lis McDermott, as well as our host, ghostwriter Tom Henry.
We will be talking about both fiction and non-fiction books to help you:
- Think about your audience – who is the book for?
- Organise your ideas – how to capture moments of inspiration
- Plan the style of the narrative – who is telling the story?
- Walk through your chapters – what are you going to tell people? What needs to happen at the start, middle and ending?
- Plot the timeline – when does each part of the story happen?
- Develop and track your characters – even in a business book, personal experiences can bring the book to life.
- Finish with great impact – what are your ideas for the ending? How will you leave your readers feeling? What do they need to know or do after they finish reading?
Book now to join us! We will also run a session at the end to answer your questions and help you overcome any challenges in your writing. There is a private Facebook group to stay in touch between events and a regular members Zoom meeting too – all included in the price of your ticket.
