~ Have you tried lots of weight loss diets and can’t face another one, but really want to tackle your eating habits and lose weight?

My talk ‘Simple Steps To More Mindful Eating’ will help you to think about your own behaviours and thought processes when it comes to eating. We will look at unhelpful beliefs, thoughts and attitudes about food, eating and dieting, and how to become a more mindful eater. It will be helpful for anyone simply trying to eat more healthily, wanting to feel more in charge of food, lose weight and/or achieve successful long-term weight management.

The talk will cover various topics such as:-

~ The problem with diets and the black and white yo-yo dieting mindset
~ Common excuses we use to eat
~ 'Crooked' thinking about eating and dieting
~ Fattening attitudes and values that keep people overweight
~ The critical inner voice (such as feeling guilty and 'bad' for eating certain foods)
~ The problem with labelling foods as ‘good’ or ‘bad’.

Becoming a more mindful eater can help you to improve your current eating habits, enjoy less food more, achieve successful weight management and get into the habit of considering what to eat, how much to eat, whether to eat and the eating process itself in any given situation. Ditch those diets and focus on becoming a more mindful eater!
