As part of one of our final year assessments for our Human Nutrition Degree at University of Westminster , we are excited to be presenting our researched nutrition tips for a Couch to 5K, specifically for women.
All our content has been approved by our module leader, ensuring its accuracy and appropriateness for the public. This talk will benefit women who are just starting out on their running journey, as well as more avid runners who may want to improve their performance, or expand on their nutrition and basic physiology knowledge.
We will be covering:
- Pre-running nutrition - macros and hydration
- Fatigue and fuelling - how not to "hit the wall"
- Recovery - rest days and injury prevention
- Menstrual cycle - do different phases effect exercise?
We'll be answering any questions you have at the end of the talk!
