Simply Repair Sewing Club

Join us and enjoy a creative afternoon with like-minded people. Ask questions, share your ideas & tips, get inspiration for new projects.

Beginners welcome: have a go at making, mending or alterations with guidance from Lauren. Children welcome, accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Bring your own sewing machine, or borrow one of ours (to book, email info@simplyrepair.org.uk).

We will provide:

• advice and guidance as needed on your sewing projects
• a sewing machine if you need to borrow (email info@simplyrepair.org.uk to reserve)
• iron and ironing board, cutting space
• hot drinks and biscuits (organic and palm-oil free).

What to bring

• your sewing project and all necessary fabrics, threads, yarns, etc.
• your sewing machine if you have one, or email beforehand to book one of ours!
• your sewing kit

Concession tickets

Being accessible and inclusive to everyone is important to us at Simply Repair. If you want to join us at any of our events but financial circumstances prevent this, please get in touch at info@ simplyrepair.org.uk so we can help. All requests are confidential, and we offer a no questions asked policy. We will do our best to accommodate but, in the event, where the workshop is already full, we can discuss future options.

Your host

Simply Repair Sewing Club is hosted by Lauren Davies, founder of Iron Keld Repairs, an outdoor gear repair service based in Kendal. Lauren loves the outdoors, creativity and the environment, a real kindred spirit! We are delighted to partner with Lauren to relaunch our monthly Sewing Club.

Refunds and Cancellations

Tickets will be refunded if:

• The event is cancelled
• The event is rescheduled, and you cannot make the new date
• The event changes location, and you cannot attend
• If you have been charged a booking fee, unfortunately this cannot be refunded.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if:

• You can no longer attend the event due to personal circumstances
• You have changed your mind about attending the event

About Simply Repair South Lakes

We hold repair events where you can get small electricals, clothes, furniture, toys and other household items fixed free of charge. We bring together people with skills to repair and those who want to learn how. Our aims at Simply Repair are to reduce waste, share skills, improve wellbeing and build communities.

We aim to bring you monthly workshops where you can learn a new skill from local hosts and bring people together to share knowledge and skills. All profits go directly to helping to fund more workshops and repair events.
