Simulation Instructor Course - Level 1 2023/2024
Join us for an exciting in-person event, the Simulation Instructor Course - Level 1, taking place on Wed Jun 12 and Thu Jun 13, 2024, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Centre for Clinical Practice. This course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become an effective simulation instructor. Whether you're new to simulation or looking to enhance your teaching abilities, this course is perfect for you.
During this comprehensive training, you'll learn the fundamentals of simulation-based education, including scenario design, debriefing techniques, and facilitation skills. Our expert instructors will guide you through interactive workshops and hands-on activities, ensuring an engaging and immersive learning experience.
By the end of the course, you will have learned:
- The principles of ACRM and how to teach them
- How to create, structure and run simulator scenarios and adapt them according to delegates' responses
- Practical aspects of using medium-to-high fidelity manikins for teaching
- How to run a debriefing session
- How to deal with different group dynamics and maximise the effectiveness of teaching
