Brighter Sound presents Sing City – a re-vamped programme for young and emerging composers, producers and musicians this autumn.
Sing City runs on a Wednesday evening in six-weekly themed blocks, each culminating in a live night in the Band on the Wall venue. It is free and open to musicians under the age of 18 with an interest in song-writing and composition, collaboration, live performance and just generally finding out more about the world of music.
Sing City is led by a fantastic collaborative team of young professional musicians each bringing a different and exciting specialism to the mix.

Sing City: Music for Games

Since the creation of games, music has been an integral part of what we come to know and love about our most loved titles. From classic theme tunes to epic cinematic soundtracks, music and games work in synergy together to create a fun and gripping interactive audio visual experience.
Come and delve into music for the gaming medium. From reinventing classic game theme tunes, to creating original soundtracks for game play, we explore a wide of variety of techniques, unlocking exciting ideas for musical creation in the interactive world.

Sing City: The Sound of Science
With drummer Tomás Pochino and violinist Jote Osahn
After half tem we connect to Manchester’s programme as European City of Science, turning our focus to the science of sound. Experiment, create and record new music with sounds found in science, the natural world and technology. All you have to do is bring your imagination!
