Event description

Description

Sing the Word!

A day of Plainchant: Practice and History. Led by Fr Peter Allan CR.

Experience the Word of God anew, through the ancient practice of plainchant, in the glorious acoustic setting of Great Yarmouth Minster.

Engage with the authentic tradition of Anglican chant and ancient plainsong in this workshop led by Fr Peter Allan, CR. Fr Peter has been precentor of the Anglican monastic community CR for many years and brings a wealth of musical, liturgical and spiritual experience to what will be both an engaging and surprising day of plainchant activities. Highly Recommended.

Please bring a packed lunch (hot and cold drinks will be available from the Minster Café )

Great Yarmouth Minster's awesome size, simple beauty and glorious acoustic are matched only by its low temperature in cold weather, so do wear a vest and warm jumper for this workshop!
