Event description

Description

Introducing and developing part-singing in KS2 & KS3

Whilst good unison singing is vital, many teachers shy away from attempting part-singing. This course

will introduce singing in parts in clear, progressive steps to help teachers to improve their confidence

and their knowledge of suitable material and how to use it. It will consider:

Resources and repertoire for each stage

Pitfalls and how to avoid them

Using young singing leaders to help keep parts secure

How to conduct effectively

The course will be delivered by Lead Vocal Tutors and Animateurs from within the Greater Manchester

Music Hub, who between them, have accumulated over a hundred years of practical experience,

working with young singers of all ages, both in the classroom and in choirs. They will share their ideas

for repertoire and resources as well as tips for achieving confident and secure part-singing.
