Singing4fun with Parkinson’s (Wednesday Evenings)
Event Information
Description
While the regular on-site Branch activities are suspended due to the coronavirus situation, our Tuesday and Wednesday Singing4Fun (S4F) song-leaders, Penny Stone and Sally Jaquet, are posting videos to keep us going through these challenging times. There are also some Zoom sessions organised – please contact Cathie Quinn, 0131 557 6438 or cathie@edinburghparkinsons.org for more details of the online sessions or for general information about Singing4Fun.
As the Branch is supporting facilitators’ online work, if you benefit from these videos, you may consider making a donation to the Branch via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/edinburghparkinsons.

Under Normal Circumstances
NOTE: We are using Eventbrite for Information, no ticket required (see 'booking' information below)
We sing for fun and enjoyment as well as to exercise the vocal folds and the facial muscles. Our singing builds friendships and laughter is guaranteed! Sessions include rounds, part harmonies, traditional songs, jazz numbers, ballads and songs from around the globe. No prior singing experience is required and you don’t have to read music – songs are taught by call and response by our highly experienced song leaders. We generally sing without accompaniment but occasionally our song leaders may add a little of their choosing.
Singing4Fun is not just for people with Parkinson’s – anyone who wants to sing is welcome. Nor do you have to commit to coming every week, drop-in when you can. There is a small charge for each session.
Wednesdays, 7-9pm at Bellevue Chapel in Rodney Street, Edinburgh. Note: Sessions run only in term times.
There complete list of dates for 2019/20 are available on the branch website from this link: http://www.edinburghparkinsons.org/regular-activities/singing4fun/
For further information or to let us know you are coming for the first time, please contact Cathie Quinn, 0131 557 6438 or e-mail: cathie@edinburghparkinsons.org
