Sip Safer with CounterSpike (spiking prevention workshop)

Join us at 53 Degrees for a powerful spiking awareness session – open to all University of Lancashire students!

This is not your usual lecture. You’ll step into a silent disco with headphones, lights, and music—but with a twist. Throughout the session, you’ll hear real stories and key messages about spiking, learn how to spot the signs, reduce risks, and support friends.
You’ll also take part in hands-on activities like wearing drunk-simulating goggles to understand how quickly things can change on a night out.

Let’s make every drink a safe one. Come for the music, leave with knowledge that could protect you and your mates.

Photography from the event may be used for publicity purposes, if you would not like to be photgraphed, please email lancsvru@lancashire.police.uk or speak to a member of the organising team on the day.
