NOTE: All attendees will need to show their ticket AND your official Liberal Democrat Party Conference pass to gain entry. You will be refused entry without an event ticket and an official pass.

Helen Walker, Chief Executive of Carers UK will be joined in conversation by Sir Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, and Tiggy Walker, writer and broadcaster to explore the importance of unpaid care in today’s society. This special event follows the publication of Sir Ed Davey’s book, ‘Why I Care and Why Care Matters’ , and Tiggy Walker’s forthcoming book, ‘Both Sides Now: Laughter, grief and everything in between’– both published by HarperCollins. The discussion will highlight the challenges that millions of people face when providing unpaid care to family members and friends. Our speakers will reflect on their own caring experiences, the challenges that other carers face, and the opportunities for change. Please note the event venue is five minutes walk from the main conference.
