Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire, Tree Climbing 2015
Come and climb a great big tree!!
We are really excited to be back in the magnificent Sir Harold Hillier Gardens offering climbing in its majestic oak trees.
Two highly skilled and friendly instructors can help all ages reach new heights in a fantastic oak tree in the Gardens. They will teach you how to enter a tree's canopy using ropes, knots and karabiners, whilst being securely attached in a harness at all times. Once at the top of the tree you will gain an experience which can't be found on the ground whilst hanging out in the canopy and if you're feeling brave you could try some branch walking before returning safely to the ground. Each session is run for up to 10 people, creating a unique and intimate experience.
Activities are suitable for ages seven to 100!
We encourage the whole family to participate or feel free to watch and photograph that special moment of your child climbing high into the canopy of a tree for the first time.
Those wishing to book in birthday parties may wish to consider booking consecutive hours if the party is larger than 10 people.
For details about how we can adapt activities for those with special needs please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance and he would be delighted to discuss your requirements
In the event of high winds or thunder and lightening on the day, the event will be postponed
What is the minimum age to enter the event?
We recommend participants be seven years old or above. The technique taught is slightly complex and younger children are unlikely to grasp the concept.
Is suitable for adults?
Yes it most definitely is. Furthermore we thoroughly recommend adults participate alongside the children they are accompanying.
I am accompanying my children, do I have to buy a ticket for myself?
No, you only need to buy one if you are planning to participate in the climbing. If you plan just to watch you do not need a ticket.
Can I take photos on the day?
Of course you can! We encourage you to share your best ones on our Facebook page too. If you sign our photo permission slip we may take photos of you or your children and put them on Facebook.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Onsite parking is available (parking charges may apply)
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Either phone the office on 0800 0556760 or email email@example.com. Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 9.00am - 12.30pm.
If phoning on a weekend please do not expect an immediate reply. It is likely our event organisers are onsite at your time of calling so please allow some time for them to respond to voicemails or emails.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you can save the confirmation email on your phone also.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
That is fine. As long as you can quote the name of the individual who bought the ticket.
I'm struggling to complete payment, why is this?
Some buyers have experienced problems when booking on iphones or similar smartphones.
It could be possible that the online booking system has closed. It generally closes 90 minutes prior to the start of an event day.
The event may be full.
Do I have to pay with paypal?
Unfortunately we are unable to process advance bookings with anything other than paypal. It takes only minutes to set up and is extremely secure.
What if I want to book a last minute slot?
Please contact the event organiser on 0800 0556760. If the event is not sold out he/she may be able to take manual bookings over the phone.
What happens if the weather if horrendous?
We will run the event in all weather except high winds, thunder or lightening. In the event of this the event will be rearranged for an alternative date. If you cannot make this date you will be entitled to a refund.
