About this event

The Chair and Trustees of the British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) are delighted to invite you to the Sir Henry Brooke Annual Lecture 2021.

This year's event will be a panel discussion on 'The Courts in a post-Covid world'.

We are honoured to have the participation of senior members of the judiciary in the jurisdictions of the United Kingdom and Ireland:

  • The Rt. Hon. Sir Geoffrey Vos MR, Master of the Rolls of England & Wales
  • The Rt. Hon. Lord Carloway, Lord President of the Court of Session, Scotland
  • The Rt. Hon. Dame Siobhan Keegan, Lady Chief Justice of Northern Ireland
  • The Hon. Frank Clarke, former Chief Justice of Ireland

The panel will be moderated by Andrea Coomber, Chief Executive of the Howard League for Penal Reform and BAILII Trustee.

Registration will close on Sunday 28 November, or when bookings reach capacity, whichever is the sooner. Registrants will receive reminder e-mails with the event access link from 29 November.

On 1 December, the event waiting room will open at 5.30pm, and the lecture will begin at 6.00pm. A moderated Q&A session will follow.

BAILII is very grateful to Clifford Chance LLP for having generously agreed to host this virtual event.

BAILII also thanks the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and the University of London for their support.
